Our Quaker Meeting for Worship lasts for an hour every Sunday beginning at 10.30am
The meeting is based on silence, but everyone is free to speak if they feel moved to do so. Some meetings may remain silent throughout.
Empowered by the silence we find peace and strength for our work in the world. Worship is not separate from, but part of our daily life; we make no distinction between the sacred and the secular. Children are welcome – please EMAIL (enquiriesbangorquakersorguk) us before the meeting if you intend bringing them.
All are welcome to our Meetings
There is also a midweek meeting on Tuesdays from 1.00 to 1.45pm where a smaller group gathers to appreciate a quiet time amid the busy-ness of our daily lives.
From time to time, discussion groups are also held in the Meeting House on various topics. Please check our diary for any that are currently listed.
Everyone is welcome to attend all our meetings, and the Meeting House ground floor is fully accessible for the disabled. There is a loop system in the meeting room for the hard of hearing.
We have a comprehensive library of Quaker and other books which can be borrowed.
